This is a very interesting idea … Urban Planning and Public Policy in High School. Imagine if we all had learned at a young age the importance of density, public transit, social justice … the list goes on. This will lead to a whole new generation and new of way of thinking.

On Wednesday the Dallas Independent School District finally made real a long-circulating rumor: One of its new schools of choice will be a high school devoted in part to urban planning, public policy and architecture.
Called CityLab, for now, the school is scheduled to open in August 2017, but no one knows where. The district says only that its location is “to be determined.”
But at least one DISD school board member thinks downtown Dallas is the ideal location, given the curriculum. And he isn’t alone.
